Beginning of the Year Information
Welcome
Welcome Back Hurricanes!
We are thrilled to begin the 2026-2027 school year on Monday, August 3rd! Our teachers and staff can't wait to welcome you! Open House will be Tuesday, July 28 from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM for middle and high schools.
To help our families, WCSD has moved to an online annual update. This new process will allow families to complete most of the required back-to-school paperwork online. Information will only have to be entered one time, and will automatically populate for all the students in the household. In order to complete this process online, each family must have a Parent Portal account in Infinite Campus.
Please visit the Annual Parent Update page to make changes.
As a reminder, the Walton County School District requires clear bags for each student. You can find the guidelines and FAQs here. The Walton County School District will also have bags for distribution to students who need them.
Visit the Documents & Links tab above for information on parking passes, transportation, free & reduced lunch, and more!

Students who pay by 12 pm on Friday, July 31 will receive their chromebook on the first day of school-- Monday, August 3. Chromebooks for payments made after that time will be delivered as soon as possible.
Purchasing this plan:
- Allows the student to take the Chromebook home.

Students must present their school id or Infinite Campus summary screenshot at the gate. Passes are valid from August 1, 2026 - May 21, 2027 for every regular season Varsity, Junior Varsity, or Freshman game played at Monroe Area High School.
**This pass does not include away games or playoff games.**
Free and Reduced Lunch
Free and Reduced Lunch Application
Walton County does not have a maximum number of families that can be approved for free or reduced price meals. Your choice to apply will not prevent another family from receiving benefits.
Eligible families must complete an application to receive free or reduced price benefits unless they have already received a letter from the School Nutrition Office saying they have qualified.
Extras and a la carte items must be purchased separately and are not affected by free or reduced price benefits.
Free or reduced price applications and status are confidential. WCSD does not share free or reduced price status information with teachers.
There are other benefits to qualifying for the Federal Free and Reduced priced meals. Students who would normally qualify are also eligible for SAT and ACT waivers, reduced fees for AP tests, and some college application fees.

Infinite Campus Gradebook and Schoology
Parent Portal - Infinite Campus
To help our families, WCSD is moving to an online annual update. This process will allow families to complete most of the required back-to-school paperwork online. Information will also only have to be entered one time and will automatically populate for all the students in the household.
In order to complete this process online, each family must have a Parent Portal account in Infinite Campus. If you do not have an account, CLICK HERE for information on setting up an account.
Infinite Campus (IC) and Schoology are vital tools for both parents and students. Both will be utilized throughout the school year for attendance, grades and instruction. Stay connected by downloading the IC app, here!
Lunch - EZSchoolPay
To better serve our families, WCSD will offer a more reliable online payment program for student meals. ezSchoolPay will offer the ability to view meal account balances and dates your child eats a meal. Users can also set up low or negative balance alerts.
**When establishing your ezSchoolPay account, search by "Walton" rather than a city or zip code.
Families may use credit cards or debit cards to fund a child's meal account. A small convenience fee will be applied to each transaction.
For more information about menus, meal prices, and payment options, please visit the WCSD School Nutrition site.
Parking Passes
The Parking Permit application and payment form will be available starting at noon on July 20, 2026. Please pay through GoFan.co. Please fill out a form with Ms. Doty to receive your parking pass.
After Open House, parking permits will be distributed to students in class as they are purchased.
